Jacob and his team at Route 1 Movers did an absolute fantastic job for our recent move to Stafford, Va. From start to finish, they made sure to take great care our belongings, wrapping fragile items carefully, and performing furniture disassembly and reassembly quickly. They worked as were moving their own items.

They were on time, well-prepared, communicated effectively, and easily handled our pack-out despite the rain and cold weather. Their positive attitude and strong work ethic, instilled a great deal of trust and confidence in us that our move would have a good outcome.

I cannot recommend Route 1 Movers enough! From the moment I called to get a quote, their team was incredibly friendly, patient, and professional. They took the time to explain their services, pricing, and the entire moving process in a way that made me feel confident I was in good hands. Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $2500

I have to admit, I was nervous going into this move. Partially because moving is scary and partially because I was arranging a move for my sister in-law. I spoke with Jacob and he helped put my mind to ease. The move was from where she lived in VA. Beach back up to Springfield. Not being there for the packing and loading made it even more scary but Jacob's confidence helped put me at ease. The truck showed up to load early, packed and loaded ahead of schedule. Their arrival here was the first chance I got to see the team in action. Quite impressive. They were polite, professional and worked harder than anyone could ask for. Everything made it in tact, the boxes were well packed and we really love the fact that all materials were included in the price. No nickle and dimming me as they were loading. (had that happen before with one of the larger companies)
The final price came right in at the $5,500 he quoted me. Worth every penny. Thanks so much to Jacob and his crew, they made a potential stressful situation easy.

We recently used Route1 Movers for a client and relative move. The experience was absolutely stress free.
Jacob and his crew arrived on time, packed and loaded the house and moved it to multiple drop locations as planned. Route1 movers crew were friendly and very respectful of the premises and the items being moved. There was zero damage. Not so much as a scratch on any item.

We would highly recommend Route1 movers for any move. We recommend Route1 Movers to many of our real estate clients and have always received stellar reports of smooth moving experiences.

One other amazing thing that is unusual for moving companies is that Route1 Movers estimate was exactly what the end invoice charged. Many movers will give you a low ball estimate and then on the actual day of the move will charge you far more than the estimate. Route1 Movers estimate was not only fairly priced, but it was also accurate to the dollar! Give Route1 Movers a call. You’ll be happy you did.

If it were possible to give MORE than 5 Stars, I would give Route 1 Movers: Jacob and his team 10 STARS! They are amazing! I have to say that my husband and I have moved around to many places with the Army and as Government Contractors as well-- and with our 33,000 pounds, Jacob and his team moved all of our furniture/emptied one house out and delivered to the new house--- everything without a scratch! Simply amazing. Jacob and his team were extremely polite, friendly and professional. We moved from North Stafford to South Stafford. Jacob and his team were punctual: Jacob and extremely well organized: everything flowed smoothly and quickly. We have extremely heavy, handmade German furniture, tons of crystal as well as professional display cabinets-- all moved without an issue! Route 1 Movers is an extraordinary company. I highly recommend them!

We were very pleased with the service we received from Jacob and his team during our relocation from Virginia to New Jersey. They performed exactly what we agreed upon and completed the move without incident or damage to belongings. The moving team was efficient, conscientious, friendly, cooperative and worked especially well with one another. Throughout the experience, Jacob communicated with us about each step of the moving process, which was particularly helpful in addressing any anxieties we might have had.

Jacob and his team did a great job for me when I needed to move my mom out of her apartment. Jacob was great about staying in contact with me leading up to the move and letting me know exactly what their plans were and what he would be doing. When they arrived on the morning of the move his team got right to work and got everything packed up on the truck in no time. They did an amazing job wrapping all the furniture with padded blankets and shrink wrap and protected all the glass doors with extra cardboard. Mom had a lot of nice china and crystal and Jacob packed all of that himself. Everything was packed in away that I didn't have to worry about it all. His team was great too. They were all very professional and very careful and respectful with everything they moved. If I ever have to plan a move in the future I'll definitely use Route 1 Movers. There's one thing I'd suggest though. If you want to hire him, lock the date in early. I almost waited too late and his schedule was almost full when I called him. Don't make that mistake. These guys are first class.

If I could give this company 10 stars I would. Jacob (the owner) is, hands down, the most professional and honest business person with whom I've had the pleasure to work. Moving is stressful, but Jacob, Joshua, Caleb, Hana, and Don were second to none--great young hard working men (and woman :). This company is trustworthy and dedicated. Showed up on time and worked hard until the job was finished. Jacob will not leave until he knows you are 100% satisfied. I've never seen a businessman care so much about his customers. You will not go wrong. Promise!

Route 1 Movers did an "Outstanding Job" in moving our household goods from Woodbridge to Midlothian VA. The Team Leader (Jacob) brought a team of excellent movers (Joshua, Caleb, Brian, and Donald) that were very polite, respectful, knowledgeable, and handled our property with the utmost care during the pickup, delivery, and placement in our Midlothian VA home. I was extremely impressed how they took the time to repack items that hadn't been properly packed such as table chairs, couches, and other furniture items. Route 1 Movers were on time and completed the move expeditiously, but with extreme care. I would recommend Route 1 Movers to anyone that has a household property moving requirement.

Our move consisted of tens of thousands of items...requiring three separate trips over 200 miles each. Route 1 crews had to put in 18 hour days not counting their time returning to their company park. 3 days of meticulous packing was required in four locations (home-garage, 2 storage facilities, and professional office elsewhere).

Many household items were valuable antiques, instruments, art, and artifacts of which all high-value items survived without a scratch. The multi-level, tight, and winding layouts of both homes were difficult to maneuver and freshly painted...again, no damage. These people are friendly, problem-solving and economical.

The loading amounted to two semi-trailers completely filled...an expert job at making items fit without undue transportation shock pressures. The helpers worked constantly and continuously like a well oiled machine. Amazing strength and endurance!

The packing materials were brand new; not recycled stuff.

The weather was unbearably hot and the crew just dealt with it. Really great attitudes and respectful to the customers.

Route 1 stayed on budget in spite of unforeseen challenges.
